LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – "Will & Grace" star Eric McCormack could be returning to series comedy if a half-hour pilot that he's starring in is picked up.

Reno Wilson, Jolie Jenkins and Constance Zimmer also have been cast in the untitled ABC pilot from writer-producer Tad Quill ("Spin City," "Dirty Sexy Money").

The pilot centers on two friends who embark on very different lives: Dean (McCormack), a heart surgeon with a new baby, and Seth (Wilson), a contractor with a new empty nest. Jenkins will play Dean's wife, and Zimmer will play Seth's wife.

Emmy winner McCormack's TNT drama series, "Trust Me," would take priority over the pilot, but that show is not expected to be renewed.

I hope this works out for him! Eric is such a great actor. Have you heard about his leading role in the new movie 'Alien Trespass'? It will hit theaters April 3rd.

Do you mean the pilot or his new movie 'Alien Trespass'? Based on the trailer (http://alientrespass.com), would you watch this movie?

Yes, Alien Trespass was a great trip back to the 50's for 2 hours. Eric brings a gentle comic style to what is essentially a two-part role: Ted before and after being inhabited by Urp (alien bounty hunter). His transition from man to alien is believably absurd. Definitely look out for it in theaters this Friday. You can also use their site for info on theaters/showtimes as well.
