I found this website late in 2004 and registered in December of that year. I've looked at quite a few threads from the past and I do sometimes wish that I had discovered this place a bit earlier on. I know that there was some unpleasantness on SO during 2003 and 2004 but there was also a lot of interesting stuff and some outright craziness. When I'm reading some of those old threads, I feel like I missed out on some good stuff, so I do sometimes find myself wishing that I had found this place in late 2002 instead of late 2004.

Yes, I wish I had thought to register here before Dec. 2007 myself.

I was on the TVL message board and all its craziness until I came here

I've been a member since 2002 but only started posting regularly on the message board last year. So I regret those 6 years that I was a member but rarely visited the boards.

Ditto to what Ashlee said. I do wish I'd been around more (and freaking POSTED) after I joined in 2002, but other than that, nah.

I sometimes wished I would have joined earlier. The most fun I ever had on this website was in 2003. That was a great year to be on SO.

Absolutely. As I've mentioned in similar threads, I found SO quite by accident. Notwithstanding my love of sitcoms and TV, I would've thought I'd found it sooner. I kind of wish I'd been with SO since its inception. But the thing is, I did find it, and I'm glad about that.

I regret not finding it a few years ago. I really got into online message boards/forums back in 2005. Before that I was sort of shy to particiapte in stuff like that. The first board/forum I joined was the WB network message boards and there I opened up a lot and got into the posting. After that I joined other forums/boards and began posting more on IMDB. I found this site back in April 2008 when I was trying to find info on Unsolved Mysteries. But I didn't get into posting until last fall. I think SO is great with different boards and there are many shows I used to watch. But some of the boards here are sort of dead. I regret not being on SO years ago to discuss some of the shows. But I love it here and I'm finding out new things about tv shows everyday and there are plently of great discussions.

You just missed having a 2000 join date by four days. ;)

I do & for not realizing how many forums there were.

I joined primarily in early '05 to find other Adv. of Ozzie & Harriet fans & did. Then two years later a lot of releases of the show came out and I started to post a lot more. This was the summer of '07. Unf. I ended up inadvertantly antagonizing someone who turned out to be a very nasty and creepy troll (who ended up getting banned.) The guy wasn't someone with a lot of posts, or even @ SO that long, but acted like they were the grand exalted mystic poobah of all the 50s bds. Many great "old-timers" intervened and Janice, who was a moderator back then, was key to stopping the hazing. When she says she has zero-tolerance for bullies she means it.:heart: to you Janice - I think you're a prime reason SO is such a safe and friendly place. Janice had sent me a very sweet p.m. telling me abt all the sites. And then I got hooked & have been here ever since. I don't even go to other sitcom related bds - & after what I've heard from others I don't want to go there - I love SO & its a real addiction - but a healthy one! This is the one & only sitcom msg bd for me!

I regret not posting a lot more over the years. I should be the one at 100,000 posts already!

Well most of it has to do with the random board etc.so Id still have so many

Maybe if I registered a year earlier, Id be at over 100,000 NOW!

Yeah, I should have found this site before 2006. I can't believe I didn't find this site until seven years after it had started. But well, at least I'm here now.

To be honest with you, I never even thought about that. I'm just glad I found it period, and don't really think about when I joined, I'm just glad I did.

It may be more common with people who registered in the 2005-2008 period. The forums were well established by then and quite a lot of the old-timers seem to have registered between 2001 and 2003. I sometimes feel it would have been fun to be involved earlier.

Oh okay, I see what you're saying. Thanks for clarifying.
