Sorry, this is probably a stupid question, but what's the story behind the green snuggie? Just wondering, thanks. :)

What do you want to know about it?

I have the blue and burgundy ones; also gave one of each
to my boyfriend. I also, have the free book lights (4 of them).

The green Snuggie is a little joke that I've had going on the boards with Solomon. He keeps making fun of Snuggies, and I keep telling him that I'm going to buy him a green one, lol.

The book lights weren't free, They probably jacked-up the shipping charges to cover the cost. I like how the commercial claims they're a $15 value, That's a joke if I've ever heard one.

Actually, they ARE $15 -- I was at Target today, and they're $15 there. And they do come with the booklight!

Maybe we can get Charles (Zoneboy) to superimpose a green Snuggie over a pic of Solomon. That would be awesome.

I saw them at Bed Bath & Beyond the other day, too. Don't know how much they were though.

If that's the selling price, that's its value. We may scoff at thinking its not worth that much, but it is what it is. Also, since the lights are selling in stores for that price, then Snuggie is giving them away for free. I remember buying a booklight probably 20 years ago for $10, so maybe it's not so bad a deal after all.

You may be right, I admit that I actually haven't seen them in stores. Next time I'm at K-Mart or Walmart, I'll check them out. I just can't believe that anyone would pay that much for one. I have 2 of them that I got for $1 each at a local salvage store and they're identical to the ones shown on tv. They take 3 of the small round batteries and they work fine.

Charles, you can't use yourself as an example. You are the bargain hunter of the Century, lol. Most people just grab the light off a store shelf. You'll appreciate this. At CVS the other day, They had Dry Idea deodorant, which sells for $4.49, on sale for $2.99. They were giving back $2 in Extra Bucks, so all it costs was 99 cents. I had a $2 coupon, so they basically paid me $1 to buy it. You got all that? lol. I'm looking at my receipt now, and I spent $22.67, and on the bottom of my receipt, it tells me that, "Today you saved $31.49". I also had $6 in Extra Bucks on the end of my receipt. I'm telling you, I've got this thing down to a science. It takes a lot of planning beforehand, but I do this every week.

Ok, I'll use my mom. She bought one for a $1 also. :) I'm well aware of your bargain hunting, Based on some of your posts I've read, I'd say you do very well especially at CVS. :) I do like to find good deals but my primary concern is to make a profit on eBay. Did you get your CVS 25% off coupon in the mail? They sent them to their valued customers and it was good last weekend.

My point is that the average person pays $15 for that particular light, so that's its value. I get all my CVS coupons and things sent via e-mail. I just signed up for their prescription online service, so I can keep track of our meds. They also have special coupons. That's how I got the $2 one for Dry Idea. It's not often you see $2 off one item. These days, it's coupons for $1 off, with the purchase of three or even four items.

Ok, Sorry for the misunderstanding and apparently they are valued at $15. I found this on Amazon that backs the commericial up but their discount price is more like it.

You snagged quite the deal - I've been using Dry Idea (it was the clear antipersipirant stick, not the roll-on stick, right?) since I was maybe a sophomore in high school almost 10 years ago.

I love looking for clearanced stuff at Target (where I work), and I can almost get away with murder with some of the stuff they have on clearance. They have a presentation team and a reverse logistics team who take care of the clearance stuff - they're on duty 5 times a week so that's a lot of merchandise to clearance. :)

Just recently, the presentation & RL teams pretty much clearanced out an entire aisle of notebooks when we were bringing in new types of notebooks to be sold, and you can get the clearanced notebooks practically for free now.

It's the roll-on, which is what I like. I don't like the sticks. Gels, maybe...no way on stick. It's in this week's circular, and the coupon is at the CVS site, so if things are the same way where you live, maybe you can check it out.

I can only imagine what you can get, working at Target. I have a friend who works at Filene's (similiar to Macy's). They have employee discount day, where workers get an additional 20%, on top of their already 20%. This applies to sale and clearance items. My friend can buy a beautiful designer outfit for $10. She's in management and has been with the store for 25 years, so she clothes her family for next to nothing, gets gifts for a fraction of their value price. So yeah, good luck to you at Target. That's fantastic. My husband's aunt used to work at Macy's part-time just to get their discount. She was a clothes horse, and she didn't want to pay full price. She considered her employee discount as part of her salary.
