Some stupid update a few days ago somehow made Flash no longer work for me on IE. I've done all the bits of uninstall, reinstall, etc to no avail. I already have Opera and Flash still is working on there (for Youtube, etc) I'm also testing out the new Google Chrome browser, which is what I'm using now to post here. Yes, I'm also aware of Firefox. Just giving different ones a whirl to show myself i don't have to use IE for everything I do online. thoughts on what you use?

That happened to me the other day, I had to go to Internet Options, click Advance and then I clicked on reset settings. After that my Flash started to work.

I've been using Flock for about three months now and have no complaints. I used to use Firefox until an update messed things up and made other things not work on my computer. So I went looking for another browser and found Flock. So far its worked really well and like I said I have no complaints.

I didn't try that, Brieannas...I'll let you know if that does the trick.
and Marv, never heard of Flock, but hey, I like having options!
tried it, didn't work, Brieannas.......and system restore doesn't work for me either.
oh well, I'll learn to get along without IE wherever Flash is involved. Stupid updates, always f'ing things up.

I use Firefox and Chrome. I use mostly Firefox but there are a couple of sites that don't work well with Firefox so I use Chrome for those.

And some sites won't let you do things without IE or Firefox, so I guess I'll have to download Firefox.
I ran into the same problem, for a time I couldn't upload pictures here on the site using IE. And someone suggested using Firefox, so I tried it & it worked fine.

I think I did get an update from Adobe for Flash and there started my troubles.....is that what caused it for you?

Yeah, that is where my problems started. I do not really use IE all that much, but I just hate it when something on my computer does not operate properly. So I tried to fix the flash problem for about a week before I got it to work.

Well, I'm glad you got yours to work....I'm just not gonna worry about it for now. I may just later delete IE and then install a new version.
