Samuel L. Jackson and Renny Harlin are in talks to revisit their 1996 action movie The Long Kiss Goodnight without the director's former leading lady and ex-wife Geena Davis.

Jackson has been quietly developing the project with Harlin for the past two years, and now the moviemaker reveals he has a storyline for a sequel, which would revolve around the Pulp Fiction star's character, Mitch Henessey.

The Finnish filmmaker tells MovieHole.net, "I do have a storyline for it that I worked out and I know exactly what would happen and I think it would be fantastic.

"I can reveal as much as saying it would be Sam Jackson crossing paths with Geena Davis' daughter from the first movie, who, in the first movie was about six years old, and who would now be about 19 or 20."

Harlin insists he is very interested in making the sequel - because The Long Kiss Goodnight is his favourite film experience.

He adds, "It’s a movie that had a really good screenplay, which meant that I was able to get really good actors... When you have characters that are complex and you have good drama, and some humour and some good action, you kind of have all the ingredients... It was a great experience.''

Speaking of Renny, he directed the new flick 12 Rounds with wrestler John Cena which came out yesterday and i'm gonna see it today. I love action flicks. Renny is good at directing action flicks. Didn't he direct Die Hard part 2?

The Long Kiss Goodnight is a very underrated film; it didn't gather much interest upon original release. A sequel will be a great idea.

12 rounds looks like it can be decent. With the WWE's track record with films just don't go in expecting you're going to see greatness. John Cena's The Marine, I think, was the best out of the wrestling films so far. Let me know how 12 Rounds is.

Yes, Harlin directed Die Hard 2; as well as Cliffhanger, Deep Blue Sea. He's also known for horror flicks; he did Nightmare on Elm Street 4, The Covenant, and The Exorcist IV: The Beginning.

He also directed the mega-flop Cutthroat Island that his wife at the time, Geena Davis, was in.

I'm gonna see 12 Rounds today. I wanted to see it yesterday but i had something to do so i didn't get a chance to see it. The woman who plays John's wife in the movie is hot. She played The Rock's girlfriend in Walking Tall movie and she was on Jericho tv show that came on CBS. Does Jericho still come on? I've never watched it but i know she was on there. I don't know her real name. John Cena's wife in The Marine movie is hot too.

She showed her legs and feet in 12 Rounds because she had some shorts on when she was in the bathroom trying to fix the pipes in her and John's house because there was a lot of water on the floor. 12 Rounds was pretty good. The bad guy was crazy and he was playing a game with John called 12 Rounds. The bad guy's girlfriend is cute but she got killed and that's the reason why the bad guy wanted to get revenge on John so he kidnapped Ashley.

I do plan on seeing it this weekend, so I'll see if it's good or if they use "sexy shots" to try to cover for the bad quality. Ha.

JamesG i sent you a private message about Crank 2 movie with Jason Statham and Amy Smart. It comes out this month. I saw previews for it when i saw 12 Rounds. I didn't think there was gonna be a part 2 since Jason died in the first one. Amy Smart is hot.

If you noticed Statham didn't die at the end of Crank; before the credits roll you see his eye blink.

I do plan on seeing 12 Rounds either tomorrow or Saturday and Crank: High Voltage when that comes out.


To enjoy the Crank's the viewer must throw reality and logic out the window; much like Angelina Jolie's WANTED.
