Are there any foods, flavorings, spices, condiments which at one time you didn't like, or would never try, but now which you love? or foods prepared a different way than what you had long been accustomed to?
Crushed red pepper: I love this stuff! I'd always seen it at pizza places on the table in like shakers, or in little packets. Finally I tried it. I actually have to have it with my pizza now. Heck, I even add a little to spaghetti sauce. I don't use too much at once, because it's (very) hot, but in the right amount adds just the right amount of 'zing' to the food. And although it is hot, it's not as hot as cayenne pepper, or jalapenos, but it's pretty 'up there'. At least it's not hot to the point of where you can't taste the food.
The 'works' on hot dogs: I used to eat hot dogs relatively plain, maybe just mustard. Now I like not only mustard, but also relish, ketchup, sauerkraut, and chopped onion, if available.

When I first tried olives I didn't like them but I now really enjoy them, especially black ones. I always ask for them in sandwiches and on pizza.

I used to not like broccoli, but now I eat it a lot (in the form of the small florets).

When I was a little kid I thought potatoe salad looked gross because it was yellowish. When I was a teenager I started eating it and I liked it.

Pineapple Juice. But I only drink it mixed with OJ. Still, big step for me.

I eat them in a different way-- my mother cuts them up for me.

When I was a kid I thought avacado/guacamole was so gross. I would see my mom eating this green stuff and I would be like, "Yuck" then she told me how do you know it's yuck if you have never tasted it. So I tried it and whata ya know I LOVE it!!!

Yeah I can understand why kids wouldn't like eggs. Especally those boiled eggs they smell so funky.

this is more of a dish, but at first i didn't want to try chicken teriaki- a japanese dish because i thought it would taste weird. i tired it for the first time last thursday, and i really liked it. it was really sweet but it tasted like chicken with oyster sauce, which is a chinese dish. i wouldn't mind ordering it again.

I think there was also a time when I didn't like, or thought I didn't like, coffee, but now I really enjoy it. I can't drink it without sugar though.

I never cared for meatloaf, but had to make it because my husband loves it. I gave it a shot a few months ago, and it's actualy pretty good. The same goes for beans. Still not my favorite food, but I can eat a small portion.

Initially, I wasn't fond of tomatoes. Now, I love them. I eat it almost regularly with my salad.

I never used to touch onions of any kind. I've changed that position a little bit. I am now agreeable to cooked or sauteed onions.
Raw, however? Nope.
