What kind of music do you like??

What is your favorite movie??

What are your favorite TV shows???

I like a lot of different types of music, depending on my mood. The only two types I won't listen to are modern country (1995 and up, except anything by George Strait) and classical.

My favorite movie? I have several:

Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
Monty Python & The Holy Grail
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Star Wars Episode V (The Empire Strikes Back)
Legally Blonde 2

My favorite TV shows (other than Howdy, of course):
Current:
CSI-NY
Lockup (documentary series on MSNBC)
MAD-tv
Talk Soup
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations

And, from my childhood/growing up/college years:
Sea Hunt
Highway Patrol
Bewitched (which I still think is the most PERFECT sitcom EVER made)
Flipper
Saturday Night Live (1975-1983)
SCTV
Police Squad! (with Leslie Nielsen)

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream??

Where do you live and do you like it there??

My favorite flavor of ice cream is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, although Bubble Gum ranks a close second.

I live in west suburban Chicago, and work in downtown Chicago. It's okay - I tolerate it here, but if I had my choice, I'd rather live in New York City. I'm kinda envious of all my SO friends who live there (i.e. JamesG, TJL, etc.)

What is your favorite season? (winter, spring, summer, or fall) and why?

Spring, because it's not too hot or cold, and things start blooming (and I start cleaning) and everyone "comes back" from the doldrums of winter. For me, I associate spring with rebirth, hope and a new beginning for the fun yet to come.

What was your favorite Halloween costume??

Do you like the Beach Boys??

My favorite Christmas present was a bicycle I got when I was 10. It had 3 speeds and was my first one to have hand brakes (as opposed to coaster brakes).

My favorite Halloween costume? Well, back when the Batman TV show was first popular, I was dressed as Catwoman one Halloween. That was my favorite costume of all time.

Yes, I like the Beach Boys. My favorite song by them is God Only Knows.

My all-time favorite song is probably Brain Damage by Pink Floyd.

My favorite duet is Endless Love (Diana Ross & Lionel Ritchie)

My favorite band is Rush, and my favorite solo artist is Frank Zappa (as far as I'm concerned, he's the greatest musical artist of all time).

Pets...well, when I was a kid we had a dog named Missy, who was one-half alaskan husky and one-half spitz. I had a ball with that dog! We also had several cats in my childhood (and all of them got along with Missy!) Nowadays, my husband and I have a parakeet named Milo (no dogs are allowed in our apartment building).

I LOVE talking on the phone! I do own a cell phone, but it's out of commission now. (I'll let you know when it's back!) The longest conversation I ever had on the phone was I would say about 4 hours.

I love getting mail, too (as long as it's not a bill or collection notice - HA!) Checks are always good, so are cards from people I know. I like to hear about how my friends are doing.

The scariest movie I ever saw was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1977). I saw that when I was a senior in high school.

I really don't have a favorite Christmas memory.

I am a self-taught typist, and I presently type 65 WPM.

In school, I really enjoyed history - that was my favorite subject. I also really liked gym and, of course, recess!

I can tell you about 6 of the clients I deal with at work who have REALLY thick accents - I have to ask them their name 2-3 times!

My favorite popcorn is Orval Reddenbacher's Corn On The Cob Microwave Popcorn. At home, it's the only kind I will eat.

For me, about 9 hours of sleep makes me really refreshed, although on average I only get 6-7 per night.

My TWO all-time favorite TV characters are Mike Nelson (from Sea Hunt, which by the way is my all-time favorite TV show), and of course, Dilly Dally from Howdy Doody. (NOTE TO SELF: Gotta find another really good Dilly avatar to put up someday!)

My favorite TV couple is probably Samantha and Darrin Stevens from Bewitched (especially when Darrin was played by Dick Sergeant - to me, Dick York could get a little too annoying at times!). I've seen a lot of TV episodes in my life, so it would be really hard for me to pick a favorite one - there've been so many that I've really liked!

I prefer the right side. It's what I'm used to.

Well, Phineas T. Bluster, the mayor of Doodyville, appointed me as the liason/mediator for talks with the Doody Syndicate. Negotiations are still ongoing between Howdy Doody and Chad Doody, so I can't comment on anything now.

You're probably making fish sticks because either: (a) you have nothing better to do; or (b) you have a taste for fish and there's no Long John Silver or Red Lobster within 50 miles of your house. Also, they make great things to throw at your TV in the event your team is stinking up the joint during March Madness.

In Doodyville, we hide the bodies in the General Store. Corny Cobb (the owner) then turns around and fixes them up so they're unrecognizable, then sells them to Lamb Chop and others as mannequins.

Personally, I'd get the Linksys. It's what the stores and bars around me use for their wi-fi.

The Snuggie is OK, but it doesn't come in pink - which SUCKS!

No, I cannot believe that girl on MySpace was the "bee girl" - she looks too hot! Dilly told me not to fall for it!

What were the best and worst school years of your life?

My best year at school was probably my junior year of high school. I got A's and B's in just about every subject (only time that ever happened)

My worst year would probably be freshman year of high school. Every teacher I had was a real pain in the a$$ (except for my Spanish teacher - he was really cool!). Especially the gym teacher I had - she was a lady up from Mississippi and this was her first teaching job out of college. She kept mispronouncing my last (maiden) name and calling me something I can't mention here because this is a family site! Suffice it to say that it rhymes with "blitz".

I know you're a huge sports fan Joni, so my question to you is, in all the years that you've been watching sports, what was the greatest game, and the greatest moment you ever witnessed??

Doodyville10019

Who is or are your role models, if you have any? (Athletes, musicians, family, friends, ppl close to you etc.)

As a kid (elem-around the time of high school), what did you want to be when you grew up? And has it changed, up to now?

Do you have any pets?

One of my best role models that I have now is my late mother-in-law. If I only become half the person she was during her life I would be greatful. She had so much energy (even in her 70's when she was very sick) she could run rings around most 20- and 30-somethings. She had tons of hobbies (crafts, jewelry, making and writing postcards, etc.), was a cooking fanatic (and the reason both my husband and his brother are such fantastic cooks), was one of the most open-minded people I ever met, and always took in someone who was down on their luck, no matter what.

Another role model of mine is Frank Zappa - not only the greatest musician who ever lived, but also, in my mind, the greatest champion of free speech and free expression since the American Revolution.

When I was in grammar school and high school, I wanted to be a history teacher. Thank God I did not follow that path! However, if I could change my career today (if I had the $$ and time) I'd go back to college and become a psychologist - I love listening to people and trying to understand them so I can possibly get a chance to help them.

My husband and I have a parakeet named Milo. We aren't allowed any dogs or cats where we live.

Brad, I've seen lots of favorite sports moments. Probably the greatest one I've ever seen is Michael Jordan crying for joy holding the trophy when the Chicago Bulls won their first NBA Championship in the early '90s. Another touching moment for me was when Ken Holtzman pitched his no-hitter for the Cubs when I was 12 years old.

The best game I've ever seen was Super Bowl XX - Bears 46, New England 10. Da Coach (Ditka) won it all!

But, thre is one sports moment I hope I get to see in my lifetime - and that is Ron Santo being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. No one deserves it more. That would be a great moment.
