I think I'm just gonna kick back and watch some Mary Tyler Moore Show DVDs. I'm in the mood for the show. I also want this to be a verrrrry lazy weekend. Last one was intense but very nice. I flew down to FLA for a garden wedding. Flying always drains me as do deeply emotional events like weddings. But it was a WONDERFUL experience - esp. seeing my side of the family from FLA - who really are my favs.

I think I am going to have to go car shopping this weekend. My Jeep is starting to have to many problems. I had to buy a new transfer case for it in October and now I need to replace a few more things with it. I love my Jeep, and I hate to trade it in but I know I got to.

How long have you had your Jeep? What's the make, model, year, etc?

It's a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We bought it new. It's low mileage though. I just passed 60,000 on it recently. It's really disapointing too because it was in our garage for several years. I've put most of the miles on it during the past 5 years. 11 years is old, but its so low mileage.

Not bad at all. I always wanted a Jeep like Daisy's on Dukes of Hazzard - the white one called "Dixie". Wasn't it called a Golden Eagle or something like that?
Hey gang. TJL here.
I'm spending the weekend in New Jersey with the folks. I brought my laptop to show Mom and Dad, and they are very impressed. My Mom finds it hard to believe that one of these laptops can take the place of a desktop computer: tower, monitor and everything.
And thanks to my tech savvy Brother In Law, he hooked an wireless modem he had at his house to my parents cable modem, so there is a secure wi-fi signal at my parent's condo for me to use. My Mom likes the idea of using a computer wherever she wants to in the house, so I think they'll be trading in their old desktop very soon.
I think I should get a sales commission.

Well tonight I went to a birthday party for my friend's brother. It was pretty fun. Then I came home and watched Lakeview Terrace with my mom. Tomorrow I'm not sure....either drving down to Ohio State with my friend's mom to watch her dance performance, or going to my cousin's reverse raffle for his baseball team. We'll see. And Sunday, probably nothing exciting at all.

Oh, also on saturday I have to pick up my meds.-AGAIN. (that's 1 downside to being 51 years old-but hey, at least they're free with my drug plan:) )

Tomorrow I'm going to the city for an event at a club and then I'm off to the local hookah bar in my area and then maybe a movie depending on the time.
Sunday nothing really, have a few DVD's I have lined up I've been meaning to watch.

Requested the whole weekend off from work so I could attend the annual Irish heritage festival! I'm so excited.

Thanks Sweetie. Cause you know flyin's not my thing. But once I was on the plane & in the air it wasn't so bad. I just totally blocked it out and did a crossword puzzle. And it was worth it to go down to the wedding and see my cousin's!

I hear you - I don't like flying myself. But at least it's over with and you got a great trip out of it!

My weekend's been great. First we got to the airport, and there were only 37 passengers on our flight, so we got to pick any seat we wanted. We experienced no turbulance, and made it to Vegas 15 minutes early. Then we met up with my Aunt and had a nice drive down to Kingman, first stopping off for dinner. From there we were dropped off at my Grandma's house, caught up a bit with family, before having a nice sleep.
Today I woke up bright and early feeling great!! Shortly after we awoke, my Aunt came and picked us up to go visit my Grandma, who's temporarily in a nursing home. It was a nice hour long visit, and she was very surprised to see us. From there we went to my Aunt Cari's house, and had tacos for lunch, and spent some nice quality time together. Right now my Aunt, mom, and my mom's other sister Vicki are watching a movie, while I'm in the computer room catching up with all of you, and listening to her bird cuss at me. lol!! Overall it's been a great weekend so far. :D
