Have you guys had a health issue or had surgery where something didn't go right? Was it hard for you guys to accept the fact it didn't work and something different about the situation you have to deal with that you never dealt with before?

I had tympanoplasty surgery in October of 2006 and it didn't work very well so I lost some hearing in the left ear. So I had to use a cotton with Vaseline on it and put it in the ear when I took a shower. Then I stopped doing that and had to have another surgery in 2008 because it was thought the prothesis was being knocked over by the facial nerve then when he went in, it turned out to be the prothesis had frozen. So he unfroze it and it's a bit better but I don't have much hearing.

So when my ear is achy and go see him, everything is really fine.

I think I just need to get used to the quirkiness or the things that never happened before the surgery that is now happening.

I do admit, there are a few things he has recommended me doing that I haven't been doing. Like having to wear ear plugs when I take a shower, I hadn't been doing that and will start now since my ears have been bugging me.

It hasn't happened to me, but I know that many people have what is called, "Failed Back Syndrome". It's back surgery gone wrong, and very painful. I don't have much faith in doctors myself. I know many of them are wonderful, but from my own personal experience, I think they're frauds.
