Does that mean the 11-2 timeslot will be for nothing more than recycling all the same old episodes? If so, I will only bother to tape the 2 p.m. show.

Do you mean BRAND NEW episodes that have NEVER aired before? Meaning it will have NEW cases never before seen on UM?

There are maybe a few that are stuff not shown on SPIKE, but for the most part, all are repeats, ie Michael Swango, and the school miracle where all kids survive after the explosion caused by the crazy man and his assistant jerking their arm..
No brand new cases and all of them may have aired on Spike at one point . Nothing to see here...Spike still sucks and so does UM

this is driving me crazy, if they aren't going to do "new" episodes there are still lots of unsolved mysteries that they haven't played. I would love to see the final appeal of Stuart Heaton I haven't seen that in so long I've almost forgot it. Also there is one where a guy lives alone and he's found by his dad dead apparent suicide but others think it was murder haven't seen that in so long can't even remember much of the details.

At this time, Saturday night at 9pm, my DirecTV on screen guide only shows Monday and Tuesday's schedule. It's the same line up as always. 11am til 3pm est time. Reruns.

When they say "new" episodes they just mean new re-packaged episodes with Farina that they ALREADY showed with Robert Stack. If they were truly BRAND NEW episodes with NEW stores we have NEVER seen before then I'm sure Cosgrove-Meuer would've had a press release or somebody on this forum like Kane or whoever is in touch with them would've told us about it.
It would great to have totally new episodes on new stories that UM has never done before but 99.9% these are not it.

It's 2:00pm eastern time and they're getting ready to show the NEW  episode. My guide says it's "haunted hotels". I got the feeling it's gonna be kinda boring.

Room 18 at the St. Jame's hotel in NM. This eppy is a million years old. It's the only haunted hotel in the whole line up. I wonder who the idiot is at DirecTV that they're letting write up the summaries for the guides....

Like I said, if it were TRULY brand new episodes we would have heard about it long ago because it takes time to produce, shoot, and air new episodes so if they started now we may see the new episodes by the end of the year or maybe fall.

I'm glad they showed one case that I've been wanting to see. Don William death, I was hoping for an update though. Who is Richard Church?

Richard Church was a teenager a long time ago back in the 80's who brutally murdered his girlfriend's parents one night and then fled. He was captured several years later but it's a very old case and has aired countless times.
I HATE the show on Spike. It's boring.

Richard Church was so long ago I hope he's not out of jail! He should've gotten LWOP if not death.

I must confess I don't understand all this confusion. Spike has 175 episodes and they have shown some of these, and now they are showing ones they have not shown before that are part of this series.
Of course, these "new" episodes are the same repackaged ones that have been on NBC, Lifetime et al.
I'm not sure why anyone would think they are doing "new" episodes as in new stories shot in 2009. If that were the case, I'm sure Cosgrove would let us know.

Oh the glorious Chair of Death! Wow am I glad that segment was shown yesterday. I don't think I could go on with my miserable little life if I didn't get to hear about all the stupid drunks who sat in that chair and then went on to die "mysteriously".

Yeah, it couldn't be that it was at a pub, and that they were DRUNk that caused the crashes
Heheh. That was probably the case.
I liked the story though and I'll tell you one thing. I'm not superstitious but if everyone who sat in that chair kept dying for whatever reason, I would NOT sit in that chair.

I'm not superstitious either. But I'd sit in that chair of 'death'. What I wouldn't do is drink a few beers while I'm sitting in it, and then leave the pub in an addlepated stupor! lol

Let us know when it's really truly new segments and how they are.
I dreamed Unsolved Mysteries was back as good as ever with new segments. Then I woke up. :(

Hmm, the week before last there was a single episode of U.M. in which case dates were mentioned (The Blind River case was one of the segments shown in that episode). I got my hopes up that maybe the Spike people had made some positive changes during the hiatus. Alas, no.

The only thing the spike people are doing during the haitus is sitting in that damn death chair, boozing it up, and laughing at this ridiculous UM roller coaster they've got us locked onto.
