AC Adapter is no longer working and you can no longer turn on the Laptop?
Also the Xircom Highspeed Card I noticed is not flashing like it normally is when the Internet is connected so is that because the Laptop no longer has POWER and Battery is dead?
Thanks

Dell craptops are known for their various problems, I'm sure robyrob and others will chime in on this one.

Sounds like you need a new adaptor. You can get a replacement adaptor on ebay for a few dollars. If you go to Dell.com it's going to cost 65 I believe.

Yeah I was able to see from plugging the adapter in other sockets that the green light would not come on which means It was the Adapter. I did buy one from ebay today and it was shipped today so I may get it on Saturday but Defintely by monday. Thanks for having the Brains to address the question and not respond with some Stupid like ZonedOutBoy.
Also I have Cable news for you on the Spinoff Board

that's what happened to me in all my experience with dell laptops. they're garbage.
I had this problem with my Inspiron 1521. My laptop didn't start working, but it did start working really slooooooooooowly because my adapter got a short in it, and as a result, my computer wouldn't recognize it due to its wattage.
I had to get a replacement adapter, and it fixed the problem. Solomon, if you're still under your warranty, you should be able to get a replacement free of charge.

Well I got this laptop USED in june of 2006 so It has lasted almost three years being used so I can't really get to upset. But the one I will get on Saturday or Monday will be brand new. There is no warranty because I never bought the computer brand new

I have that same problem. It has to do with BIOS not finding the AC adaptor connected to the board because the same AC warning comes up on the BIOS hardware list at startup. This is common on the Inspiron series, I have a 1501 and it does this from time to time. Just unhook and rehook the AC. I think it has to do with Dell sending out AC adaptors with ill-fitting plugins.

Well in my case the Adapter just got wore out because when I plug it in the green light doesn't even come on in the back which means no power.

the "Xircom Highspeed Card" not working is probably related to the power problem - when on battery power/low power the system cuts off power to high power devices/USB and accessories.
most accessories from Dell/HP only have a 90 day warranty.

Yeah that's what the Comcast Rep said, I was wondering if I had to buy a New Xircom Card earlier today.
