CLEARWATER, FL - ValCom, Inc. through its subsidiary division MyFamilyTV, announced today its new family format has created a 10% growth in affiliations since it was implemented at the first of the year. MyFamilyTV, which previously operated as FaithTV, has added 12 new television affiliates representing nearly five million new viewers.
The new affiliates include KJEP-TV 23 in Nashville, Arkansas; FamilyTV-45 in Centerton, Arkansas; KLFI-TV 35 in Texarkana, Arkansas; KLHU-TV 45 in Lake Havasu, Arizona; KGEC-TV 26 in Redding, California; WLCU-TV 4 in Campbellsville, Kentucky; KGPT-TV 49.4 in Wichita, Kansas; WCBZ-TV 7 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; WMKG-TV 28 in Muskegon, MI; VBS, a national direct-to-home satellite-delivered service; Family Life TV in Kittanning, Pennsylvania and WCKV-TV 9 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
President & CEO, Vince Vellardita, expresses his excitement, "After personally attending and assisting at these two broadcast shows back to back, the National Association of Television Programming Executives (NATPE) and the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), combined with over 2000 television stations present, our booth drew exceptional traffic and overwhelming response. We had one of the hottest booths at both shows and I would not be surprised that in the near future we add another 20-30 stations which could calculate to 50% growth, increasing as much as 20 million viewers for the MyFamilyTV network, ultimately increasing advertising dollars for the network and shareholder value for ValCom."
One new MyFamilyTV affiliate, Great Plains Television Network, which operates TV-49 in Wichita, Kansas, is so thrilled with the new programming they are rebranding their local digital station to Your TV Wichita and have decided to tag it My Family TV from Your TV Wichita. General Manager John Pappert says, "'My Family TV' offers broadcasters the opportunity to provide viewers with quality family programming. Our programming goal is to offer an alternative to reality shows and the current fare of programming that lack moral fiber. My Family TV seems dedicated to that same purpose."
MyFamilyTV President Jim West said, "There has been overwhelming interest and support of the new family format from existing affiliated stations and excitement from scores of other broadcasters who are learning of our programming mix." MyFamilyTV has added a prime-time movie to the schedule showcasing some of the best family films ever made.
Among the changes still to come is a daily, three-hour kids block, entitled Kid Mango, featuring many well-known children's series produced by Porchlight Entertainment, a leading provider of family programming. MyFamilyTV and Porchlight will also present a weekly Porchlight Theatre special featuring titles from the renown "WonderWorks" series of movies.
