What a wild ride, an absolute blast! My husband and I pulled all-nighters. We watched it as fast as Netflix could send it. It's my new favorite show, and I'm just sorry that I didn't watch from the beginning. I love all the gals, and the guys. Lynette is my favorite. My husband tells me that I'm like Lynette without all the kids, lol. Susan is a hoot, and Gabby is a riot. I love Carlos. I hope they stay together, and I hope he gets his eyesight back. I know nothing whatsoever about Season 5. I have to avoid all the promos, and unfortunately, this forum. Mrs. McCluskey is necessary to the show as she doesn't miss a trick. She's had some touching scenes, such as when it was found out that her husband was in her freezer. As crazy as it was, she said she felt good having him around and she would talk to him. I like how she puts Lynette in her place.
LOVE the tornado episode. Wow! I watched the Bonus Features and how it was made. So much went into that. It was so sad when Mrs. McCluskey lost her best friend, Ida. I'm crazy over the narration. I've always loved narrated movies or shows, and this is one of the best ones I've seen. I usually watch those last two minutes of the show with a lump in my throat. Brenda Strong has the perfect voice, and from what I watched behind the scenes, she tears up herself sometimes while narrating. As much as I would have loved to see her as one of the housewives, I'd rather hear her intro and closing narrations.
Pavan had told he that the cliffhanger was great, and was he ever right. It was spectacular! Fast-forwarding five years was an interesting idea. I wasn't crazy over flabby Gabby, lol. Kidding, but I do like her with the glitz and glam. No Mike and Susan, a big wow on that. It's not hard to add years to the teen kids, when the actors are usually in their 20s anyway, but I'm sure that Lynette's kids are recast. I'll miss those twins, Parker and Penny. Love the show, Wisteria Lane, the humor, the drama. If anyone wants to chat about the first four seasons on this thread or link me to a thread from Seasons 1 thru 4, I'm here. Please, no spoilers. :)

Wow! You finished it in 2 weeks?? That was fast! I did the same thing for Grey's Anatomy. I missed the first two years and caught up in time for season 3 in two weeks!
Did you like the hostage episode, too? DH always has that one big episode per season that has everyone talking.

I loved the hostage episode. Even though Nora aka "Crazy" drove the Scavo family nuts, she added a lot of humor to the show, and it was sad when she got shot. It appears they like to give Felicity Huffman the meaty roles. The way she held bloodied Nora while crying was really something. It paled in comparison to her screaming outside Mrs. McCloskey's leveled house after the tornado, with her family inside. She's a fantastic actress. I'm a huge fan of her husband, William H. Macy, and I've seen every movie he's made. They must be a riot together. I get the feeling that Felicity and Lynette are not that different, although I could be wrong about that.

I lost interest after the first season when they made all those changes in season 2. Haven't watched since.

I hated Nora and when I found out she was going to die before the episode aired I was happy, but when she actually did it was so shocking the way it happened. So sudden and out of the blue, and so very sad. I felt sorry for a character I despised. Felicity Huffman was INCREDIBLE that episode.
I can't believe you watched the whole series in 2 weeks but it is addicting. When I first started watching the show very early in Season 1 I became hooked immediately and I've never missed an episode since. I don't like it *quite* as much as I used to but it's still can't miss.

With me Brent, I didn't notice any decline in quality. In fact, since we were blasting through the episodes, in a sense, I wasn't always completely aware of what Season we were watching. Nora, too funny. That was perfect casting, as the actress had the perfect face. One of her funniest moments was when she threw herself on the sofa, over and onto the family, for the Christmas picture. I'm sure that was a strange mix of emotions for you, feeling bad for a character you hated. I can't wait to watch Season 5 in September. Pavan told me how to watch it online, and while it's tempting, this neck can't take all those hours at the computer, and my husband wants to watch it on our big screen. The trick now is to keep away from all DH news and promos. I already saw the headline about Nicollette Sheridan leaving. I'll really miss her, for sure. She's needed on the show, in my opinion anyway. Every soap drama needs a seductive vixen, whether it's Alexis Carrington, Erica Kane or whomever. Nicollette had the role of Edie nailed to the wall. If anyone is taping this season on DVD, I'll make it worth their while. I hope it's okay that I posted that.

Actually that's nice that you were able to watch it all at once. You didn't have to wait every week for another episode to come around again & wait for any hiatuses.
