Variety reports that one month after Disney dropped out of the project, 20th Century Fox will partner with Walden Media to co-finance the third film of Walden's Chronicles of Narnia series. Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader's $140 million budget is considerably lower than that of 2008's Narnia: Prince Caspian, but Fox hopes to capitalize on Dawn Treader's family-friendly subject matter while reintroducing elements of magic that were sorely missing from the series' second installment.
