Stanley Kubrick is one of my all time favorite filmmakers. He's the man responsible for such cinematic materpieces as Paths of Glory (1957) Dr. Srangelove (1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), A Clockwork Orange (1971) and The Shining (1980). What is your favorite Kubrick film. Mine is 2001.

Wasn't Vincent D'Onofrio (Law & Order: CI) in Full Metal Jacket?

Yeah, he played Private Pyle. Two of his scenes in Full Metal Jacket rank among the most disturbing ever put on film.

Doesn't surprise me - my mom always called his L&O character "in your face guy".

2001 DEFINITELY. A fabulous classic that's still relevant today (other than Pan Am no longer being in business)!

I could never get into Star Wars because this movie was made so well it spoiled me for any other space themed movie.

I think the only other performance of the 1980s that was more over the top than Jack in The Shining was Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Jack!
