To answer the questions.....no, he wasn't mentally handicapped. this was around 1pm, shortly after my shift began.
and yes, Charles, it would have been nice to see someone rub his nose in it.
A manager went back and looked at the security tape and saw the man in action-ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!

Well, it was necessary to see who did it........all we had was someone coming up to tell us about the "evidence" left in the aisle.

Your day must have gone down the toilet after that
But seriously, that man must have had a real crappy day! (ok, sorry)
 Um.... wow.... that's disgusting. I did have a little girl pee at my lane once, she was still getting used to potty training. Also when I worked at McDonalds I once had to go climb up and clean pee in playland. It was so gross puke: but at least with those they were kids and couldn't really help it. That guy just sounds like an a-hole.

in walgreens this woman used to come in, i think she was physically disabled - she could walk but walked severely hunched over and once she just kept peeing as she was walking leaving a trail down a few aisles. the back of her sweatpants had this huge soil mark on it, yet she still kept shopping as if nothing was happening. i don't know if possibly she was unaware of it for some unknown reason but when she came to my checkout she asked for a job application. i felt real bad for her. later my manager was making fun of her and saying he'd never hire her
anyway jude thats sick! any able bodied healthy person who does that deliberately is a pig in my opinion.

That is just nasty!
When I use to work in retail I was closing the store one night and this one woman wanted to keep shopping even after we closed. We were not allowed to try and rush her out so we had to wait around for her to finish shopping. While waiting her husband comes to the door and she asked us to let him in cause he had the money to pay for her stuff so we did. Then he asked to use our restroom. I said sure and pointed him in the direction. Well after they finally left and paid for their clothes, me and the other girl were closing and counting the money when suddenly we got a whif of one of the nastiest most horrible things I think I have ever smelled. We reluctantly walked back to the bathroom and to our shock and horror there was **** everywhere. All over the toilet all over the floor even on the walls. It was sooooo discusting. I almost puked right there. We were so mad. I couldn't even stand there with out gagging so she offered to clean it. Im so glad I don't have to work with the general public anymore.

^ That reminds of me of over a year ago when I was still at Blockhead Video--we had this druggie come in and ask to use the public restroom. She was in there awhile. Later, when checking things to start preparing for closing, I discovered she puked all over in the sink......not the toilet mind you, where it can be flushed........no, the sink!!!!! Both my co-worker and I (I was the manager on duty) nearly puked ourselves from trying to clean the foul stench mess. After that, we kept the public restroom "out of order" on purpose for a few months.

Wow, what kind of person does a thing like that? A similar thing happened at my Dad's work a few years ago - although this was "left" on the actual toilet seat. I don't think they ever found out who did it.

It takes a special breed to do something like this.
That is not the only **** story that I have from my lovely experience working in retail. Another time at the same job a lady was walking around looking at clothes with her baby in her arms. Little did we know the baby had a loaded diaper and the poop was slowly splling out down her leg and dripping on the floor everywhere the lady walked. We didn't realize it till we started smelling something then we told the lady to plz clean up the mess but instead she just ran out of the store. Leaving us to clean the mess. It was all over the store. We had to have the whole carpet cleaned. Im so glad I quit that ****ty job.

Oh, man! I just hope your manager's lunch break was either several hours beforehand or wouldn't be coming for a few hours after that.
One time my husband was working at a gas station, and part of his job was to clean the restrooms. One time he discovered that the toilet was not working and the reason was that there was this huge solid chunk of **** clogging it. He had to throw on a glove then remove it with his hands!! Seriously!! I don't think he ate for a couple of days following that.

On the floor, shoved in with the deodorants(?!), chilling with the Icy Hot, hanging out with window drapes, etc. I've even found them behind diapers. The ickiest is when people leave behind Starbucks or Orange Julius cups with frappuccinos or smoothies still in them. Sick gross mother****ers. Is that how you do it at home? Leave cups in weird places and then they get all moldy later? KEEP IT OUT OF MY STORE.

That is just disgusting. I worked at Brighams, an ice cream parlor, when I was a teen. I remember some maniac came in and crapped all over the bathroom walls. I have no clue how he did it, never saw it, but was grossed out.

I get a chuckle out of this thread...OK, I guess i'm jaded, but I've been a nurse for years. Most of those years in a nursing home. I've seen people (patients) relieve themselves on the nice sofas and in flowerpots in the lobby, in trashcans, in their cereal bowls, in sock drawers, in their baseball caps, etc, etc.
But the people I deal with cannot help it for the most part, due to the ravages of dementia. I guess if I saw someone who ought to know better doing something like that, I would be very creeped out!

Yah, once you've worked in a nursing home, you can basically handle ANYTHING. Talk about "Where were you when the **** hit the fan!"
But it IS disgusting. The guy is either sick (in the head), has some sort of brutal bowl disease, or thinks he's on Jackass (which had to be the grossest segment in television history).
I had a friend who worked in a jeans store years ago. The would put up promotional posters in the dressing rooms. Part of her job, was to go clean up the used tampons and condoms people would stick behind the posters. It really changed my view of "humanity". Amazing the pigs among us. (no insult meant towards grunting pigs, hogs, or anything who provides us with pork products cuz I'm sure they have better habits).

Dear god, I hope no IBS sufferers are that thoughtless. I know - when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. But they wouldn't do things like that. If the guy was an IBS sufferer, you probably would have seen him on the tape running like his pants were on fire and then dropping trou. That guy is just a plain jackass, period. May he be blessed with fierce colon cancer just for that alone.
And bwuh? Tampons and condoms BEHIND the posters? wtf. Why TAMPONS? :barf:

No ****. Especially when stuff like deodorant has to have multiple shelves stacked one after another to maximize display, and you have to forcibly pull the damn cup out of the holder thing on the shelf. That happened to me not too long ago. Stupid ****s... Go hide YOUR cups in YOUR home, not my store.

I apologize if you felt I was being sarcastic. From the way I read your post, You made it sound as if you didn't know why he quit. I obviously misunderstood you and again I apologize.
All things considered though, I would've quit myself if anyone tried to make me clean the mess.

I had that happen to me in a food court at a mall. Some kid chowed down on his New York Fries and they came right up again - in the middle of the eating section. The only saving grace is that I got my food from Arby's and was almost finished when he did it. It sure cleared a busy food court quickly!

Because I guess being a teen, he just thinks it's easy enough to find another min. wage job and not put up with crap! (pun intended).
The store owner has now decided to eliminate the night/weekend stockboy position, so now the rest of us have to all pitch in......more duties, same lousy pay.

i was a custodian at an astronomical observatory last summer and stories like these made me glad that i was just cleaning up after scientists instead of the general public. i'd go into work every day and everything would pretty much already be clean. the bathrooms were sparkling. i'd just have to run some lysol or something over everything to make them stay that way.

I work in a photography studio and one time this woman and her kid came in (he was probably about 2) well, he just pissed on the floor. At first I thought he spilled his juice, but then his mom was like, "Nah, he wet himself." Like, it didn't matter; as if we could just leave the urine on the floor. Needless to say, I handed her some carpet cleaner and a towel and asked her to help me clean it. They haven't been back since. THANK THE LORD.
