Old 80's sitcom name

I can't seem to remember the name of this show. It featured a high school aged boy living with his sister and single mother in an apartment building. Across the hall lived the boy's teacher who was dating his mother. The plot focused on pranks that the boy pulled on his teacher, and the way the teacher always stayed one step ahead of the boy.

Just a guess, but you could be thinking of It's Your Move, which starred Jason Bateman and David Garrison (Steve from MWC). The show aired on NBC from 1984-85.
