Ever since early childhood, I have been facinated by the concenpt of "be careful what you wish for because you just might get it!" This is probably one of the reasons why I am as big a fan as I am of the "Flintstones"! In any event, I can only think of one episode of "Will and Grace" in which this lesson was taught. This was the two-parter known as "Someone Old, Someplace New, Something Borrowed, Someone's Due". I have tried on a bunch of occasions to stimulate some conversation about this episode and how it compares to other TV shows, movies and books that have taught a similar lesson. So far, I have had no success! My last attempt was on the twenty-nineth of last month and the thread was called "Harvey Returns". The Harvey that I am referring to in this post is the late Harvey Korman who played the Great Gazoo from the "Flintstones". So far, this post has twenty-two views and zero responses. I would now like to point out one partiuclar incident in the "Will and Grace" episode that I am writing about. As we all know, Will and Grace were very dependent on each other when it came to cloth, food and just about everything else. In the second half of this episode, Grace was going through her oversized closet and was at a loss of what to where for that day! Oh horrers! She calls up to Will who was in his room on the second floor. She tells him that she is having a clothing emergency and needs him to come down there. Will, who has no interest in excercise says "no you come up here". They ping-pong this issue back and forth until they both realize that neither one will give in. At this point, they both longed for their old, overcrowded place that was about the size of the bathroom in there new place! Maybe, if they had watched more "Flintstones" growing up, they would have been careful to look before they leap! It will probably be about an hour before I make it back to this page to see if this approach to the topic has managed to generate some responses! Bye!
