Lauren Bacall: 'Tom Cruise Is A Maniac'

Movie great Lauren Bacall has blasted Tom Cruise in a tribute to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

Outspoken Bacall reveals her Aussie pal was "unhappy" on the set of their movie Dogville, which Kidman made after splitting from Cruise - and the American great will never forgive the actor for breaking her friend's heart.

Bacall tells Elle magazine, "Tom had taken off for (girlfriend) Penelope Cruz or some goddamn thing - one of his more ridiculous moves. Tom Cruise is a maniac. I can't understand the way he conducts his life."

Mayo, who was his third wife, was a violent drunk. She would fight with Bogey all the time and leave him feeling broken down. Yet when she found out about Lauren, she got all posessive. He tried to leave but she attempted suicide so he went back for a while but the b.s continued. She died when Bogey and Bacall were shooting African Queen in Africa. Lauren's not exactly going to toss the woman any compliments. As a wife, I might get all posessive if my 45-year old husband was having an affair with a teen. Both Mayo and Bogey were lushes, and they battled constantly. That was a Days of Wine and Roses marriage for sure. Still, Bogey did leave Mayo for Bacall, who he married 10 days after the divorce was final. Bacall was the other woman, so I find her remarks hypocritical.
