Canine comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" was top dog at the North American box offices, digging up $29 million in ticket sales in its first weekend in theaters, according to studio estimates on Sunday.

Thriller "Eagle Eye" with rising star Shia LaBeouf fell to No. 2 in its second week with $17.7 million, but showed a two-week total of $54.6 million.

not really a movie I want to see, but I am so glad to see Jamie Lee Curtis doing movies again, since she swore up and down in 2005 that she was finished

The previews of the Chihuahua movie look awfully cute. I'll probably wait & rent it when it comes out on dvd though.

As a former owner of two Chihuahuas, I'm a little bit biased--but I'm dying to
see this movie. But I'll have to wait for the DVD; the nearest theater is too
far away from where I live (out in "the boondocks"). :lol:

I own 2 Chihuahuas, Snuggles and Cuddles, so I'm DYING to see this movie! It looks so cute! :D
