Considering the source, I would take this news with a grain of salt...

Former Will & Grace co-stars Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes are set to star in a spin-off of the hit comedy. The pair will reprise their camp double-act in "Karen & Jack," which is currently in development at network NBC.

According to sources, Hayes was keen on a spin-off soon after "Will & Grace" ended in 2006 - but was put off by the failure of Matt LeBlanc's Friends follow-up Joey. Plans were then derailed when Mullally landed a talk show - but that flopped, throwing the pair back together again.

The insider tells the National Enquirer, "They feel there is still a lot of life left in their characters and a lot of comic possibilities."

If a pilot episode is successful, "Karen & Jack" could be on the air in the next autumn.

I would really like to thank the last poster for sharing this information with the common man! I like the characters of Jack and Karen a lot and I think that it would be great if they had a show of their own. While I am here, I would also like to offer my sympathy to Meagan Mullaly for having had a talk show that failed so early in the game! Easy come, easy go! In closing, I would just like to add that the whole situation seems very interesting to me.

If this is true, I wouldn't be surprised. People have suggested these two should have their own show for years.

I wonder if the show ever gets off the ground, whether there will be any guest appearances by the characters of Will, Grace or any of the supporting characters of the original sereis.

I was never a big W&G fan but I watched time to time. This sounds like a decent idea, but the big question is how are they going to fit this show in a way that won't screw the series finale up? The series finale pretty much encapsulated 20 years in an hour. So will Jack and Karen be in the intervening years where Will And Grace have fallen apart, or will they be older? or what!! lol

Because I have not had any success stimulating any conversation with any of my new posts, I have decided to try bringing this one to the top of the page. If anyone knows anything about the plans for this new sereis, I would be very interested in hearing from you! I am quite excited about this prospect!

i know the show went off the air a few years ago but i think they should really consider a spin off. look at NBC's ratings they could really use a new hit. I wish they would do a karen and jack shows spin off.

I wasn't a regular viewer, but I know what happened to Joey, and would most likely happen with a W&G spinoff.

In between the last post on this page and the present moment, I have not read or hear anything about this potential sereis. Dose anyone know if it is still in the plans? And, on a side note, having watched the vast majority of episodes of "Joey" I agree that it deserved to be flop city!

Karen is my most favourite character on Will & Grace. There was talk of her getting a spinoff in the early 2000s, but I don't think it will ever go ahead. A series of fanfiction stories should be written about Karen.
