Johnny Depp will play Tonto in "The Lone Ranger", according to IESB.net

The Oscar Nominee has also agreed to front another "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie!

AND he's also playing 'The Mad Hatter' in the upcoming Tim Burton-helmed "Alice in Wonderland"!

I would have been excited about the Mad Hatter role if it wasn't for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I should have a nearly impossible for a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collab. to **** up that movie, but they succeeded in doing so.

Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and make "Alice in Wonderland" a memorable movie.
