This thread is for things that you knew were wrong, even as a child.....
I am starting this thread, after someone on a Good Times website posted, "Even as an 8-year old child, I knew there was something wrong with a woman eating dog food (probably referring to the Gurdy meatloaf episode).
When I heard Tiffany's "I think we're Alone Now," around the age of 7, I felt uncomfortable.... I thought she was TOO excited/happy to be alone with her boyfriend (When I grew up, I heard that song was alluding to sex).
When I saw Paula Abdul's "Cold-Hearted Snake video, at 5, I felt uncomfortable and thought the video was "nasty." Even as a young child, I felt uncomfortable seeing sexual dances.....( I didn't really know what sex was back then, but I had a vague fuzzy knowledge of it).
Around the same age, i saw a music video where this woman in a red dress comes out of a manhole and these men were leering lustily at her as she strutted around. (Of course I didn't know what "lust" or "leering" were back then, I just knew there was something not right about how they were looking at her). Man, I felt creeped out by the way they were staring at this woman! What music video is this?

Well, the only thing I could think of was that i knew it was wrong for married people to kiss someone they werent married to (At that time i had no idea about "affairs" though)

I remember thinking that there was something seriously wrong with Bugs Bunny kissing guys on the mouth at the age of 7! I remember telling my mother, 'Bugs Bunny kissing other men is nasty! :barf:(as i grew older, I became more 'okay" with other people being gay.):)

i remember watching Clarissa Explains it All, when I was little, about 6, and thinking, 'Okay, something's not right about Sam climbing through Clarissa's window ." I got a weird feeling watching him use a ladder to get into her room.. Even back then, I knew that was just wrong.........

My dad has always been into those "shoot 'em up" Westerns and even as a kid, I found them upsetting. I won't watch watch murder mysteries, horror movies, and other violent stuff. To me, it's just wrong. There's enough of that stuff in the real world and I don't want to watch it on TV.

If this show were degrassi, you can bet that Sam coming in through Clarissa's room wouldn't be innocent at all......................;)

I used to think if you ate spicy food (hot peppers, hot sauce, salsa, etc.), you'd breathe fire out of your mouth.

Wrong thread, buddy. That posts belong in a thread called, "Things you were naive about," not a thread about being a kid and KNOWING that things were just....wrong......

Even as a child, I knew this was wrong...... Ina book called, "Listen to My Heart(Bantam Love Stories) This guy was shy and had trouble speaking to girls, and he "hired" a ghostwriter to give him romantic lletters to give to Roxanne, his crush...... Well, that ghostwriter ended up giving him crappy, sappy, letters, such as, 'Roxanne, my heart feels like a butterfly when I see you. You are like a rainbow to me.... You are the butter on my toast....."  And Christopher actually delivered the letters to roxanne..... he didn't know that Michael, the ghostwriter, was actually trying top make him look like a douche and a fruity guy that Roxanne would think he was a wuss and wouldn't like him as much..... Michael actually liked Roxanne for himself....... Michael got together with Julia, a girl who liked Christopher, and they would try to keep Roxanne and Christopher apart.... Even as a child, I found Christopher incredibly naive, and kind of dumb how he couldn't see that Michael was pulling the strings on him....... (Oh, and Michael and Julia ended up liking each other at the end and began dating, and Christopher and Roxanne became/remained a couple too......
Some people might not like the fact that Christopher was a cowbooy, and was portrayed as being kind of dumb. (Especially people who are from places with a lot of cowboys)....... But, Christopher was sweet as hell, and he looked fine! I wanted to kiss him when I saw him on the cover of that book. He had blond hair and beautiful blue eyes and a beautiful smile! i wish I could have done magic to make him come out of the cover(and inside cover)......... :talk: :happyface  :D
