Can we list the instances in which the Internet has been mentioned on a sitcom (or drama, etc.)? One instance I can think of is the episode of The Simpsons where Homer gained all that weight so he could stay home. I think he worked from home on the Internet. Another is an episode of Coach in which Dauber and Luther got "one of those online services" (or whatever; I can't remember for sure!), and Luther took up the username "pieman" and posted on an Orlando Breakers message board that the team was great.

What are others?

I kind of thought the thread containing it was going off of the original topic, so that's why I posted it here in its own thread.

On An Episode of 2 1/2 Men, Charlie Hunted Door to Door To Find Out Which Ex-Girlfriend Posted A Website About Him Being A Real Douche-Bag of A Boyfriend. Incredibly, He Made Love To Each and Every Girl Who's Door He Knocked On

On Eight Simple Rules, Everybody Loves Raymond, Roseanne (there was an episode where David set up the internet for Jackie in her house and she became addicted to it), Home Improvement. I'm sure I will think of more.
The internet is used a lot on soaps and primetime dramas. Smallville, Supernatural and so on as well.

The question was what shows was mentioned in the Internet when it first became popular which was the mi 90's era, around 94. So eight simple rules wouldn't qualify for this discussion since it was created in 2002. Roseanne is a good one, basically any show that was around before the internet became popular. I don't think ELR would qualify either since it premeired in 98

Sorry I misunderstood the question. I thought it was shows in general that had the internet used on the show. I apologize.

On "Monk" they did most of an episode centered around Adrian learning to use Julie Teeger's computer and laptop. That was great when Adrian said it made him want to "LOL out loud!"
