After so many times of going through the Port Authority, not too long along I finally stopped and looked at the statue that sits outside the bus depot. I can't believe how many times I walked by and never realized who it was. Ralph Kramden greets millions of New Yorkers as the come and go on the bus.

I also only recently learned that Jackie Gleason's "How Sweet It Is" welcomes people into Brooklyn!

That is so cool! And what a great likeness of Ralph Kramden/Jackie Gleason! I think he'd be touched! If I ever go back to NYC, I'm gonna look for that statue! Thanks for sharing! I had no idea it exsited!

I didn't know it existed either for awhile and I even walked past it lol. It just goes to show that we often don't pay attention to things. After I finally stopped & looked at it, I did see what a great likeness it is of him. I also think he'd be proud.

RIP Jackie
