I know we already have a thread for books but I bought a newer copy of this yesterday, since my other version is getting a bit tatty and have been reading it again (I'm on the second chapter at the moment.) Once again I've been caught by its spell.
Madeleine L'Engle is one of my favourite writers. I feel she has such a gentle writing style and I love how mystical a lot of her books are. A Wrinkle in Time may even be my favourite novel. I first received it at the age of 11 but didn't read it properly until I was about 14 and I fell in love with it.
I believe it's supposed to be well-regarded in America. Madeleine L'Engle isn't well-known in Britain, which is a shame as I believe she wrote great novels for children and teens (I haven't read any of her adult novels.)
Does anyone else share an appreciation for this book?
