Microsoft Corp. is hiring comedian Jerry Seinfeld for a series of TV advertisements meant to counter any impression that its Vista computer operating system has problems, the Wall Street Journal reports. The ads, by Crispin Porter + Bogusky, roll out as Microsoft rival Apple has been riding high with its "Mac vs. PC" ads, in which Microsoft is portrayed as stodgy and unhip. Mr. Seinfeld's popular sitcom "Seinfeld" ended production in 1998, but the 54-year-old comic still is rated 41st among celebrities in broad appeal, the Journal says, citing a marketing study.

Guess not.
Sorry Jerry, but I've had a really bad time with my old PC lately, and I 'm in the market for a laptop, and I'm thinking Mac.
;)
Not that there's anything wrong with that?

You mean he didn't like the fact that his alter ego had a Mac in his apartment? I'm confused... as usual, I guess. I don't like Macs either. I'd much rather use a PC!

I like PC's. I hate how Mac's can't right click and it's apparently "easier" but I find it makes it harder.

Someone told me tonight that Jerry got $10 MILLION for these commercials! That is an INSANE amount of money! Then again, this is Bill Gates we are talking about! That's probably chump change to him!
I haven't seen these commercials yet, but I'm hoping that someone will put them on Youtube. I checked tonight and all I found was an interview (that neither Jerry nor Bill was involved in) about the upcoming spots!

Okay, I found one commerical so here it is. It's funny, but also a little weird...http://www.microsoft.com/windows/?CMXID=9769E65D-39A8-4BCF-8FCC-7C7F09D9EF51&WT.srch=1
I'm not sure how many commercials there are all together. This is the only one I could find!

I liked that.
It really had nothing to do with computers, but it was pretty good.
I still want a Macbook.

It's a really random commercial in my opinion.

It is, isn't it?
It really has nothing to do with computers.
But I still like it.

That's what so great about it, but I couldn't figure out what it was about? Jerry being a shoe salesman? Bill Gates using a promo card? :brent If Jerry worked there, I'd be shopping at that shoe store a LOT!
