Rockers Guns N' Roses are reportedly planning to release the first single from their long-awaited album Chinese Democracy through a video game. The group is now set to collaborate with MTV and debut track "Shackler's Revenge" on the network's game Rock Band 2, reports The New York Times.
The song's inclusion has sparked rumors the next Guns N' Roses album will finally be released in the autumn, following over a decade of delays; and frontman Axl Rose has previously claimed the album is complete, though a release date has yet to be officially announced.
The collaboration will put Guns N' Roses in a league with fellow rockers Metallica and Aerosmith, who have joined forces with similar music-inspired video game Guitar Hero in a bid to increase sales.
