I so much prefer Celine's version of POWER OF LOVE. To heck with Jennifer's version. ;)

Both of these are covers, Roy Orbison originally recorded "I Drove All Night" and I-Ten did the original of "Alone."

I also hate Celine's cover of John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy". John's version is one of the most moving and passionate songs he ever wrote and she simply ruined it. :mad:

i loved heart's 'alone' so much that i loathed celine's rendition. she butchered that classic to death

oh ok. i already knew roy orbison sang 'i drove all night', but i never knew heart's version of 'alone' was a cover. i went on you tube and so far nobody has posted a video or recording of the original rendition by i-ten. celine should be barred from doing cover versions- period

Why don't you like Eric version? That was a top song the year I was born. Okay, that's probably why you don't like it. :lol: ;)

Celine's cover of "Beautiful Boy" was an album track and was never released as a single. I've heard it only because my mom has the CD. I'm sure you've heard John's verson, and you'll probably agree that it is a great song from a father to his infant son. Celine's version sounds like she phoned it in.

i'm with you on this one. that song is so dreary and depressing. i prefer upbeat songs. i do like the odd power ballad, but with most of them i cannot stand listening to them

:lol: well, i have- just so i can find out for myself how crappy celine's cover versions are in contrast to the original songs themselves. i also think that she is so overrated as a singer. i don't understand all the fuss surrounding her. but of course she is famous for that now infamous titantic anthem 'my heart will go on'. talk about wanting to stick my finger down my throat and gag
