I thought I'd start this thread because I have this really cool local channel that I just had to brag about-LOL. I found it a little while ago, and it airs tons and tons of classic shows, drama and sitcom. From what I hear, they used to air all religious and worship programming. They still do, but they're entire afternoon and latenight block is classic TV. Here's their schedule:

WHNO-20 is a LeSEA affiliate here and they air a small lineup of reruns every afternoon:

3:00pm: "I Love Lucy"
3:30pm: "The Andy Griffith Show"
4:00pm: "Little House on the Prairie"
5:00pm: "Matlock"
6:00pm: "Hogan's Heroes"
6:30pm: "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"

What's the odd show out? Yep, exactly. I watch the lineup sometimes (usually whenever I want to watch Lucy or when their run of LHOTP is in my favorite seasons of the show), but all of those shows are on other channels, and they used to have a much better lineup several years ago. "Marcus Welby MD" was in the 5:00pm slot, "Lassie" was on at 3:00pm and the 3:30pm slot was a rotating slot which had "The Lucy Show," "Lone Ranger," and "Beverly Hillbillies." "Daniel Boone" airs on weekends.

WUPL is a MyNet affiliate and they air "Benson" and "What's Happening!!"/"What's Happening Now!!" back-to-back everyday at noon. "227" and "Gimme a Break!" used to air in that block last year. "Sanford and Son," "Good Times," and "The Jeffersons" may still air at night, but I'm not sure. Long, long ago, they'd air "That's My Mama" every afternoon.

WBRZ is the Baton Rouge ABC affiliate and they randomly air "M*A*S*H" and "Cheers" on the weekends. WVUE is the New Orleans FOX channel and they show "Star Trek," but they used to show "Perry Mason" and "Fantasy Island."

That's about it, I think. Most of all the other stuff is recent stuff from the last ten years or so.

They call themselves WADL TV-38 Detroit, but I live about 15 miles outside Detroit and still get it. I guess it's been around since the late 1990's, but they used to run strictly religious programming. They got a new president last year, and since then, they've been slowly growing into an all classic channel, which is great. They add more and more programming every couple of months it seems. It used to be just 3pm-6pm, but now it's 2pm-5am. I sent them an email at their website asking what shows were next, and they replied to me saying they had plans to add 227 in the near future, and possibly All in the Family and Maude by the end of the year - I'm excited about that-LOL

It's a local channel, but it's its own network. I just turned to it one day and found The Jeffersons airing :lol:

I know what you mean. All my local affiliates air nothing but garbage. The best I have is my local CW-11 station - they air a nice sitcom block in the afternoon, with shows like What I Like About You and My Wife and Kids.
