is set to be released on 8/26/08. Bonus includes:

THE JACKIE GLEASON SPECIAL - 1973 reunion sketch of "The Honeymooners" cast.

I've been looking for this special for a long time. I assume it's just the Honeymooners sketch. I believe the UCLA archives has the entire show. Here's the description:

The Jackie Gleason Show (CBS-10/11/73) One hour special as Gleason joins The June Taylor Dancers in a razzle-dazzle 1920s-30s song-and-dance number. Gleason's first special after a three-year absence from television features a variety of skits, including a "Honeymooners" episode in which Alice leaves Ralph and moves in with Trixie, leaving Ralph and Norton to fend for themselves.

One quick question about this special. Was this actually the first special after Gleason's variety show left the air? I always thought that there was one in November or December 1970 as well, that featured a Honeymooners sketch. That one I have never really been able to find anything about, other than it was suppose to have the 'Mooners as well as a Reggie sketch and the June Taylor Dancers. Was it an actual "new" special or just a rerun of an old variety episode?

Yes. This one:

The Jackie Gleason Special (CBS-12/20/70) with Art Carney, Sheila MacRae, and Jane Kean.

Also, look at this timeline from the Gleason site:

There are blanks in several places. For the 1973 special, they acknowledge "First reunion of the honeymooners since 1970. Filmed in Miami.", yet, they don't include the 1970 special in the timeline.

I.I.N.M., the 1970 special was a repeat of the "Poor Soul Christmas" edition that first aired in 1966.

WB is correct. I can verify from my copy of TV Guide from December 19,
1970, that CBS ran the Poor Soul Christmas that evening, a Sunday, in the 10PM Eastern slot. Incidentally, the listing touts the return of the Jackie Gleason Show (Honeymooners reruns) to that time slot on January 3, 1971. They ran through May 1971.
