there have been shows throughout the ages that have shared the same title--mainly one was a flop, that no one remembers or both were flops or one turned into a hit so now the title can't be used again.
such as
The Practice--a 1970s NBC sitcom with Danny Thomas AND David E. Kelly's big hit legal drama on ABC
Doc--a shortlived Barnard Hughes CBS sitcom AND the Billy Ray Cyrus drama for PAX
Snoops--shortlived Tim Reid/Daphne Maxwell Reid CBS mystery series AND a shortlived Paula Marshall ABC drama (I think David E Kelly was behind it)
and there are more........so list away! :)

You know, it came to me the other day, a tv show that shared the same name as another, but for the life of me, I can't remember it now. Wouldn't you know, you'd make a thread of this topic?

E/R - 1980s sitcom starring Elliot Gould
er - current drama starring too many people to mention
FM - short lived show based on the film from the early 1980s, and short lived Robert Hayes sitcom from the late 80s(?)
That's all I can think of at the moment. I know there's more.

the 1954 version was a daytime talk show, les someone be confused and think of "Life With Elizabeth", her first sitcom, which was syndicated :)

Also the name of a late 60's sitcom pilot starring Bill Bixby and Brenda Benet. Bill and Brenda got married, she went missing on the honeymoon, he remarried, Brenda came back. Oops, 2 wives who didn't know about each other.
