I saw this movie today and I LOVED it. Very funny. Steve and Anne make a great team. Has anyone else seen this movie? What did you think?

no I haven't and I don't want to! Everything I've read about it says it's HORRIBLE!!!! And it's getting really bad reviews, too.

I've read some of the stuff on the Get Smart board, and what you have to understand is that the movie is tied LOOSELY to the show. I.E. Same characters, but modern situations/stuff that makes it more appealing.

To be honest, no one would see it if it were EXACTLY like the original.

I thought it was really funny. I mean sure, it's not like the original show but it's got a great homage toward it. It's a lot of fun. Carrell & Hathaway make a really great team together.

Im seein it tomorrow or later today I mean LOL. I LOVE the show, and I know Ill LOVE the movie, even if the cast I wanted isnt the cast that came to be besides Steve

I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon... It seems like every other new movie is a remake :rolleyes:

It looks like Get Smart was number 1 at the Box Office this week!! :) At least that's what they're saying on E! News.

When a remake has quality actors, I'm not against it.

it couldn't have been any worse than "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" and "THE HONEYMOONERS" though. God, those were so GODAWFUL!!!
