yea, I do not see Sex and the City being this big summer blockbuster. It might do around $30 million opening, but Indiana takes it for another weekend.

i never got into sex & the city so i for one will not be watching that. but i am planning on seeing indiana jones soon!

Color me shocked!! Sex was actually #1 with $55 million, while Indy took second with $46 million. However, I expect Sex to fade fast. Prince Caspian is looking to be a box office disappointment for Disney--it was released at a bad time--had it been a holiday offering, I think it would have done way better.

I was shocked as well. I thought Indy would have made a bit more.

According to the paper, Prince Caspien is doing pretty well overseas, so it is making money somewhere. I don't think it's going to be considered a bomb.
I do agree they should have held it off for the fall/holiday season.

Too many blockbusters jockeying for position.

So far, the only official bomb is Speed Racer--which has struggled to even make $100 million overseas. It has barely made $40 million in the US
