N@N has been showing this sad pet commercial about animal cruelty and I wish they would stop because it's very sad to see. I go from laughing at George Lopez to almost shedding a tear in a matter of seconds. Enough is Enough, Every Commercial break the commercial comes right back on

Is it the one with the Country Music Star in it? I think her name is Sarah or something like that. It really is a sad commercial. I think TV Land plays it alot.

Oh God, that commercial gets to me too. I start to get teary-eyed and I hug my dog. It makes me want to go out and adopt every hurt animal. Seeing that one dog with one eye is especially hard. :(

The girl is Sarah McLachlan.

Very sad, indeed. I have three cats, and I'm so glad they're all fine.

Good Lord...how many people abuse animals so bad that they lose eyes? How awful.

I had to change the channel, and it was such a long commercial. I have to send them an e:mail. I know animal cruelty exists, and I've donated to several charities, but I can't watch or read sad animal stories. I can't even read this thread. My husband knows to instantly switch the channel if something comes on the news or whatever. I'll run out of the room. If I happen to catch a disturbing image, I have trouble sleeping at night. Have they lost their minds or what?

My mother and my sister are just like you, Janice. I don't like animal cruelty either, of course, but I can stand seeing pictures of it and hearing about it. But neither my mother or my sister can stand hearing about it on the news or reading about it in a newspaper or listen to somebody talking about it. In one way, I understand them, but unfortuneately, some people hurt animals like this, and it's hard to ignore it, so I feel really sorry for them, almost as much as for the animals.

I'm not even what you'd call an animal lover (I like them ok but I don't own any pets) and I can't even handle watching that commercial. Yes, it's sad what people do to animals but it shouldn't surprise you because look how some human beings abuse other human beings. If you don't value human life I doubt you would value animal life.

Really sad. :(

You know it is a sad commercial when it makes grown men cry. Raymond gets a tear watching it too. He abhors the cruelty that people inflict upon animals. I do too. I believe our laws towards animals should be tougher. Children and animals are truly the innocent of the world.

Watching those animal cop shows on Animal Planet can be sad. And sometimes the "cops" get frustrated when they can't prosecute anyone, or they get like a slap on the wrist.

Oh I know. I watch that show and you can easily see from what they say and their faces show the anger. They take their jobs seriously and I applaud them for what they do. I get so pissed when I watch the show and see how people leave animals tied up with no food or water.

Oh man! Why would they do such a thing? Don't they understand that tying animals up and starving and dehydrating them to death is cruelty? But some people do cruel things to other people too, of course. :(

The worst are the ones who abandon the animal altogether. They leave them in some building where they can't get out. Why don't they just take the pet to the ASPCA and say they can't take their pet with them? At least they are not being cruel by leaving them in some building to die.

y'all are going to think i'm crazy, but i think animal abuse is more serious than abuse to humans. people can call the police. animals can't. Some people can fend for themselves by using a gun or bat, ect. All animals have is there teeth and they jump on that person and attack them. Even then, sometimes that doesn't work because the "person" (i use that term loosly) can move before the animal strikes.
at any event, i hate abuse to both and the abusers need to fry like a piece of bacon. :angryfire

I have a friend who is a licensed animal abuse investigator. She has walked into pet stores and CLOSED THEM. They wouldn't let me be an animal cop, I always want to do to the abuser what they've been doing to the animals. Love to see one of those monsters tied up and starved and beaten.

Believe me, you're not crazy. Or at least you're not alone. Because that's something that my sister could have said too.

The people on the animal cop show are f----ing ridiculous!!! I watched some last night and their was this horse who didn't have any meat on her what-so-ever and the one cop said she could have died in that day if they were not there to save her. The frigging owner learned that the horse was going to be givin to someone else that the cops knew would love and nourish her and guess what she had the balls to say:

"I wish I were there to make sure they take care of her the way she ought to be."

F%$k you, bitch!!!
