This really speaks of a different era- now WPIX (and all daytime TV really) is packed with court shows, very lowest common demoninator talk shows and other embarrassing air fillers. Supposedly these shows are cheaper than offnetwork syndicated series. Notice that except for that local Best Talk in Town there is nothing on this schedule even close to Jerry Springer or Maury or the court programs. And that C.O.P.S. show was a cartoon!

Highway to Heaven, Charles in Charge and Growing Pains would have all been new or relatively new in syndication that year.

Was there no local newscast at that time? Interesting that there were so many hour long dramas on this scheule. I actually remember watching some of them around that time.

Cool schedule
