Has anyone seen the ads on TV for the Red Skelton DVDs? I have seen them advertised on American Life while watching Mary Tyler Moore and Newhart from last Monday. There's a website for the discs at http://www.theredskeltonshow.com. I was just curious if anyone knew anything about these. They say that they are authorized by Red's estate and feature never-before-released shows not seen since their original broadcasts. Also, I think there is a new DVD of Red's out that features most of the shows from his final season on TV when he was in color and had the half hour show. Any information about those? Decent quality? Just curious ...
If these Skelton shows are a success and selling them like this works, maybe the Gleason Estate will look into selling some of Jackie's TV shows this way? I don't know what the agreement with MPI would be, but it's a thought anyway!
