LOL! Woolworth, is that you? Anyway, to answer your question...Ralph Stantley is the name of the actor that played the grouchy ex-boyfriend, and as dahatman mentioned, Ned Glass played Herman. Stantley also appeared in "Stars Over Flatbush," "Songwriters," and "The Great Jewel Robbery," among others. Ned Glass passed away in 1984, while Mr. Stantley passed away in 1972.
