Singer Paula Abdul has been snubbed by music channel MTV - after it refused to play her new single Dance Like There's No Tomorrow.

The American Idol judge shot to fame in the late 1980's with exceptional dance routines to tunes including Straight Up and Opposites Attract.

And despite fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson pitching in ideas for the video, critics have branded Abdul's dance routines "recycled", following its premiere on the talent show last month.

An MTV spokesman tells MSNBC.com, "There are currently no plans to play the video."

there isn't a rapper in it, that's why :lol:

It's still sad tho, Paula was a superstar on MTV when all these hack nobodies they play now were wetting their beds, Paula should be shown some respect, after all, MTV used to play the hell out of her back it the days of "Straight Up" and "Opposites Attract"

That's just a rumour, Irene! :lol: (Same goes for MM.....unless its Crap music with some big butt grinding into the camera, they wont SHOW music vids!)

SO TRUE! LOL! No, but seriously... they are not going to play Paula's video? That's just wrong. I was proud of her and thought she did a great job.
