Good Times
I Want Your Love
Real People
Le Freak
Soup For One
"Soup For One" was disco backlash in full swing, that song should've been a huge hit in 1982. The beat to it to sampled several years back and became a big hit in Europe as "Lady" by Modjo

yep, Nile Rodgers went on to become one of the biggest producers of the 1980's, he produced David Bowie's "Let's Dance", Madonna's "Like A Virgin", Diana Ross' "Upside Down", Sister Sledge's "We Are Family", Duran Duran's "Notorious" and some other stuff.

Niles also said in an interview, he wonders why Cheryl Lynn ("Got to be real") never became a bigger star. I agree with him on that.

I always wondered that, too. Nile should have worked with Chery.

I think Cheryl didn't become a bigger star because, even though she had a number of r&b hits in the 1980's, a lot of people will forever pigeonhold her as a disco artist, and 99% of the people associated with disco was pretty much dead on arrival after 1981-1982, Donna Summer was one major exception, even The Bee Gees needed about a decade before America was willing to embrace them again.
Now if only screamo or a lot of the awful modern hip hop artists could suffer the same backlash.

This is Nile's official website and his works: http://www.nilerodgers.com/
Check out this massive list of work Nile and his late partner did for various artists...WOW! Incredible. I knew it was a lot, but reading it is phenomenal:

It's sad that both Bernard Edwards and Tony Thompson have passed on along with Luther Vandross who sang background on at least 2 of their albums.

Speaking of Luther, I heard yesterday his mom is in a coma and may die soon. :( She will be with her son and husband soon.

Also the Whispers had a couple of hits from the 80s as well, too.
