I just learned that they were holding an open casting call in Madison for extras last Saturday for a movie starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Madison is only about two hours away from me.
I knew some people were scouting for locations around Wisconsin, but I had no idea they were having a casting call.
The movie, titled Public Enemies, is about Gangster's John Dillinger(Depp), Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd, and some of the scenes are to be shot here. Don't know where yet.

I'm going to have to keep better track of what is going on with it. It would be cool enough just to be an extra in any movie, but one with Johnny Depp?!

Sorry you missed out on the opportunity, Sterling. Maybe next time. Was it not on your local news? Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus are shooting part of the 'Hannah Montana' movie in TN and I heard weeks in advance. They aren't holding audtions, (I don't think) but we still heard about it.

Thanks. The only thing I saw on our local news was that they were scouting locations around the state. Of course if I lived in Madison I probably would've heard about the auditions, but like I said, I live about two hours away.
But along with that, I rarely watch the local news(I just happened to tune in when they were talking about it).:lol: Guess I am going to have to start.


Oh well, we do have these new tax incentives that the state is hoping will lure more moviemakers to Wisconsin, so maybe there will be more opportunities.
