View Full Version : ‘Idol’s’ Amanda Overmyer busted for DUI in ‘06

LOS ANGELES - Amanda Overmyer, the raspy "American Idol" contestant with two-toned haired, was busted on driving under the influence charges two years ago.

Splash News were first to report that Overmyer was arrested on the charge in October 2006.

The Mulberry, Ind., native was pulled over in Crawfordville, after authorities clocked her driving more than twice the speed limit in a 45 MPH zone. She also ran a red light, according to Splash.

Overmyer had a blood alcohol level of .108.

Can't She be kicked off the show for this?What are the rules on "American Idol"?Didn't that one Corey guy get kicked off when the producers found out that he'd been arrested or was that because it was an assult charge?

as long as she told the producers, she's not breaking any rules. Corey didn't, so he was disqualified.
