Obviously, I am basing this poll on the characters of when they were younger. When both got older they mellowed and matured. I will say Michael Evans was more pro-black. He was aware of everything happening in the black community. Willis was more street smart and had a bad attitude along with a smart mouth.

well, I think it's a case of environment for both of them. Willis was all street-smart, and then a few years of living the priviledged life turned him into the whitest member of the family, including Mr. D and Kimberly. You never know what could've happened with Michael if he had wound up in the same situations as Willis.

Yeah, Michael as a youngster knew so many things abt black issues, black health, black leaders, black problems in the ghetto, etc. As he got older, we never saw anymore of that from him. Although it can easily be explained that the producers/writers only did it when he was young because they didn't want to offend anyone by having an adult do all the talking that Michael did. A child could get away with saying what he said and get a laugh or clap without offending the viewers.

I will say between Michael and Willis, Michael was the more pro-black. Like Florida said one time, "I gonna have to lead a protest march before this child will say that I am his mama."

Michael, he was more over the top. ie: Mama, Boy is a white racist word. They didn't call him the militant midget for nothing.:D

My vote goes to Michael. Though Willis was "pro-black" - he wasn't as into it as Michael was. I always felt that Willis kept a clear head about the issues the family faced. I was never offended, but like Archie Bunker and George Jefferson before him, Michael seemed kind of harsh and one-sided at times. He didn't care to hear anyone else.
