That it's turning into a classic TV network and that the network will pick up the Jeffersons and Sanford and Son in 2009??

These are some of the things I'm hearing on the TV Land message Boards

Right now, nothing but rumors. I also heard of this happening lately, but not on the TV Land boards.

I wouldn't put it past them, though. They could be like a TV Land 2, since TV Land doesn't cater to entirely classics anymore.

Well it would be an improvement because the Hallmark schedule needs a extreme makeover-lol

it does - they have some of the worst programming out there. Not only that, it's all the same thing over and over.

Hallmark is one of my favorite channels. The double dose of 7th Heaven is great, plus they have Touched by an Angel and M*A*S*H. I Love Lucy and Cheers coming later is also good.

Right. But so long as it's your garbage, you would be happy though.

That's a great sign towards classic programming, though. I Love Lucy and CHeers are 2 of the most classic shows of all time.

I like Hallmark just the way it is. It has a certain audience and I think it works well for that audience. There are a few shows I think they could pick up to work well with the others... stuff like "Magnum PI" and "Simon & Simon" and that kind of stuff, I think. I don't really think sitcoms would make much sense, which is why I don't get the presence of "M*A*S*H."

Hallmark actually had "Magnum, P.I." back in the early to mid 2000s, before they began their sweeping away of half a chunk of shows off their sked, which happened to include Magnum.

And when they did that, that was Step 1 of Hallmark going to crap.
