Remake of the 1974 film "The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3" directed by Joseph Sargent. The latest incarnation takes place in contemporary New York and is set in motion when four hijackers take over a subway train and hold the passengers for ransom. They threaten to shoot one hostage each minute until a ransom is fully paid.

I vaguely remember the original. I hope this remake will be memorable.

I saw the original at the theater. I remember because I was on a date, lol. Fantastic movie, with a good premise. It was a very gritty, nerve-wracking movie. Walther Matthau was fantastic. I'd love to see a remake.
