I could care less about Cavemen - it's a show that shouldn't have happened in the first place. If anything, I would have liked ABc to bring Carpoolers back and give it another chance (maybe in a new timeslot, not up against AI). It's a lot better than Cavemen, at least.

I didn't know that Oprah actually gave away free copes of the DVD's. That's really early - that's like 2 months before they actually come out. I'm surprised they're actually ready to be given away. You'd think if they were, First Look could bump up the release date.

Too bad we weren't in the audience-LOL. It would have been a great gift, and a free $40.

I used to enjoy the rants but now they just seem grasping--why would you care that the Oprah audience is getting some DVDs of a tired show? Why would you care that a show that shouldnt have been on in the first place wont be coming back?
I could care less if a baseball player uses steroids. Sports players are wayyy to worshipped IMO!

Why would you ask me a stupid A$$ question? Of Course I'm a FAN OF THE SHOW if I'm bothered by Oprah's Audience getting seasons 7 and 8 before the rest of us Cosby Show fans who have to wait until April

Ain't that the truth. It actually makes sense the more I think about it. I'm not surprised she gave away any DVDs of the show.

Oprah loves to give the audience gifts, depending on the topic of the show. I didn't watch the segment all the way through. It wasn't until Solomon posted that information that I heard abt it. Companies and such will do anything for free advertising, which is why they will take the oppportunity to "give" items for the Oprah show. That is why so many take the opportunity to give her show many items for her Christmas give-away that she has every year. It was shown that the companies who allow their items to be given away on Oprah (regardless of the show) their products go up in sales because viewers will want to purchase those items. The viewers will go on the companies websites, visit their stores, etc. It is FREE ADVERTISING. So, whoever owns the DVD's to the Cosby Show (or whoever is responsible for their distribution) will use this opportunity to get more people to buy the DVD's.

Whether it is fair or not is another issue. I know Oprah has given stuff out that had yet to be released to the consumer.

At first I thought she was saying seasons 7 and 8 wouldn't be availabl to the fall, but I think she meant the entire BOXSET

I said season 6 sucked because of the oliva themed eps and looking forward to the next release which is season 7 and 8 which is the seasons she has more of a minor role on the show. Her role was the biggest during season 6

you like season 7 and 8 more than 6? Granted, season 6 had a little too much Olivia, but it did still feel like The Cosby Show. Vanessa and Denise were both regulars, and there was no Pam or any of her annoying friends.

Only because Oliva's role was smaller and even smaller in season 8. The season I was hoping to find on DVD this weekend was season 5 but no luck

ohhh, they had too much Olivia but I felt like she assimilated with the cast more than Pam did. Pam never even tried to become a Huxtable IMO.

She was too young IMO to be used so much. Even Rudy wasn't used that much and she was 2 years older when the show started

I always thought Olivia was adorable from whe moment she came on the show in 1989, but honestly never understood why they kept her when Lisa Bonet left the second time, considering Denise was what tied Olivia to the Huxtables to begin with.

The Best Cosby episode was with Cliff and Theo when they were figuring out the $$$ money thing in season 1

Well, I don't understand basing a half-hour sitcom on a series of perhaps some of the most annoying TV commercials that have ever come along. How does the utterly ridiculous and unbelievable premise of cavemen in today's world actually sell car insurance and can Geico afford good rates on car insurance when they are paying for their commercials to air 500 times a day? The show was stupid as are the commercials.

As for the Cosby Show...well, the most forgettable part of the 1980s in my opinion. A show that does not hold up well in reruns. Sure, it airs everywhere, but it doesn't have a big following believe it or not.

The crowd also got FREE SPRINT CELLPHONES, the latest one. Oh yeah, they also got 3 months of free service. ;)

Oprah is always giving away stuff. Somehow depending on her guest(s) they seem to tie in something to give away.

I wish I can go to Oprah Show with Malcom Jamal Warner appearing alone on Oprah Alone so I could get his short-lived series from 1992 called-"Here and Now"-LOL

I know, the only way that will be on DVD is if BET picks it up and someone records all the eps on DVD

First off, season six rocked. Sorry Solomon. LOL. 7 and 8 started to lose a little something.

As far as Here and Now goes, if you wait a little longer, we will work something out. I promise.

Season 6 ROCKED? How? Season 7 and 8 was much better but still not on the level of seasons 1 to 5. Season 5 is my next Buy. I think I may order it tomorrow from Amazon

I remember the Hallmark Channel gave away "The Thornbirds" miniseries BEFORE it was even announced as being released on DVD. I was so ticked off I didn't win.
