She may have missed her chance to be Miss Golden Globe when this year's ceremony got shelved on account of the writers' strike, but Rumer Willis has her moment thanks to Elle magazine, whose March issue cites her as part of the new breed of eccentric, irreverent "It" girls. This summer, Willis, 19, will star in I Know What Boys Like Best (previously called House Bunny), also starring Katharine McPhee. "I've been really lucky," the "It" girl told PEOPLE last summer.

Great another celebutant who has gotten where she is because her Mommy and Daddy are movie stars.

I don't like the way that term sounds, "It" girl. We had "It" girls in high school and believe me, no one in their right mind wanted that term attributed it to them.

It has an entirely different connotation here. As I'm sure you know, Elle magazine is as about as classy a publication as one can find. Given that, if they name a young lady the "It Girl", it's a profound honor and compliment.

Too bad Rumer Willis missed her opportunity to be Miss Golden Globe this year, because of the strike. Maybe next year. It's always nice to see a celebrity's daughter onstage. Sometimes they look so nervous, that I feel bad for them. Melanie Griffith was Miss Golden Globe in 1975, because she's the daughter of Tippi Hedren. Melanie's daughter with Don Johnson, Dakota, was Miss Golden Globe in 2006.
