According to this CBS press release The Big Bang Theory will return to the air on Monday March 17 at 8:30PM with 9 new episodes. See here :

Great news, again! Can't wait!

Superbowl, did you see WTTC's ratings for the second episode? Went down, but not much. The thing is, it lost audience from its leadin, which was a repeat, which is basically depressing. Big Bang Theory always built on it's lead-in, sometimes by more than a million viewers. We can pretty much say WTTC won't be coming back next season.

I agree. I really don't want to start the fight with Pavan again, but I think the ratings for The Captain have been pretty bad. For a new episode to not be able to build upon a repeat of HIMYM is pretty bad. If The Captain gets good ratings, than The Big Bang Theory is the biggest hit in years relatively speaking. If it can just do what it did in the ratings before the strike it will be here for a long time to come.

March 17 is right in the middle of my Spring Break. Perfect timing. I am glad it will be on all the way to May. This will give it almost 20 episodes for a first season. Not bad at all.

I'm soo happy! Now I am eager for new episodes! This is one of the first shows I've gotten into in the past few years that hasn't been cancelled after season one! So season 1 will contain 17 out of the original 22 episodes! Not bad:)

:woohoo: I can't wait! BBT is really the only show I've missed ever since the strike began and it will be great to finally see some new episodes. :)

It was renewed for Season 2 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check the "General Sitcoms Question and Disscussion" thread! I am soo excited!
