I can't believe this. According to today's blog, NBC was stupid enough to rewew the Celebrity Edition for another run. God, I can definitely see this as the show's last season for sure. Why not just give us another regular edition? I'm sure fans would love to see that more.

WTF? who are they going to get for Season 2? the celebrities they have now are already like D-list stars.
you know what they need to do? have an all-star edition. take the 4 or 5 best (or most memorable) candidates from each season and then do the show with them. now THAT'D be interesing. like the Survivor All-Stars, really.

I had the same first impression. Why the hell do another Celebrity show? NBC seems like it's their highest rated show or something.
You have a good idea, actually. There were a lot of great contestants in the earlier seasons. That way it could be an actualy Apprentice and still have a twist to it. But, I'm sure if NBC did do that, we'd just see more of Omarosa-LOL

LOL hopefully she wouldn't be included *_* ive only seen the first 4 seasons but they could include people like this..
Season 1:
Heidi
Kwame
Amy
Troy
Season 2:
Jennifer M.
Sandy
Chris
Raj
Season 3:
Bren
Alex
Erin
Angie
Season 4:
Rebecca
Toral
Alla
Josh
it could be a good mix of entertaining candidates but also really good candidates. they could advertise it as giving them like a "second shot". i did this list really quickly and only from what i could remember so it's not necessarily everyone's id pick but it could be really fun, i think.

I think it's a great idea. I'd love to see an edition like this, way more than another edition of Celebrity Apprentice.
This way, people who tuned in for the first few seasons but tuned out the last few would more than likely come back to watch the old contestants get a second chance. Just when you thought The Apprentice was done . . .

Now, that I'd like to see. I don't think any of CBS' All-Star editions were major hits with the fans, but I'd still like to see it done with The Apprentice.

I know Survivor did it once . . . not if sure if they've done it again. I'd like The Apprentice to do it because we could get an actual edition of it, where we do actually get to see someone named The Apprentice. Plus, I think NBC would see a better audience for that.

Yeah, Big Brother and Amazing Race also did it, but they weren't all that popular with the fans. I'd still really like to see it done with The Apprentice, though.

Yeah. Afterall, Celebrity Apprentice isn't too popular with us right now, yet it's already gotten a second season.

I think the renewal may have to do with the writers' strike?? Even after the strike is settled, it will be awhile before regular sitcoms and dramas are back in production and on the air again.
I like your idea of an All-Star Apprentice -- really good idea!!

Of course. NBC will renew anything that's reality. Plus, this season is up from the disastrous LA season. I wonder how last night's episode did against Lost.

well the strike will most likely be completely over by January 2009 which is when Celebrity Apprentice 2 is going to begin
but since this is starting in January of 2009, maybe that means we'll get a fall season that'll be a normal season?

We could hope, unless NBC decides to speed this up to air in the fall, if the strike still goes on and the fall season is completely ruined.
