In this "Full House" spin-off, Dave Coulier returns as Joey Gladstone, this time he moves to New York to become a sidekick to Allison Vaught, played by Amanda Bearse, who doesn't want to share the spotlight with someone. Joey, who was brought in by Michele Newell [Melanie Deanne Moore], the network's VP in charge of late-night programming, becomes the hit of the show, much to Allison's chagrin. [At one point, Joey deflects a pie Allison wanted to hit him with, but the pie ends up on ALLISON'S face instead. Allison and Michele feud, but the latter tells the hostess it's Joey or no show. Also featured is Reginald VelJohnson as Eric Hamilton, the show's producer and an ally of Joey's.

In this ep., Allison tries teaching Joey to upstage her-It's her company that produces her show-and warns him that if he does, he's off the show. Unfazed, Joey, at Michele's and Eric's encouragement, tells funny jokes that has the audience laughing. Annoyed, Allison tells Joey he's gone. But Michele catches on, and tells Allison not to even try. Allison throws a tantrum backstage.
